Sterilisation
We believe that the safety and trust of our patients come first. To that end, we do everything we can to make our patients feel safe and comfortable during their stay at our Clinic.
There has been a special room in our Dental Centre since its opening, the so-called “sterile block”, where the rigorous process of the hygiene of the premises is implemented, along with the disinfection and sterilisation of instruments.
Each of our dental offices is equipped with a UV lamp that, after the rigorous disinfection measures, maintains the maximum level of cleanliness of our Centre.
All the instruments used in the course of our work with patients, which are not disposable, go through strict measures of disinfection and sterilisation.
The sterilisation process includes the destruction of all microorganisms and their spores on the objects, instruments and materials. This process is very important for the provision of adequate dental therapy and the prevention of infectious disease transmission, and a long-standing principle of disinfection and sterilisation at our Clinic is ready to respond to the challenges, even during outbreaks (Covid-19 and others).
The modern “sterile block” was formed in accordance with such blocks in the largest healthcare centres. All our instruments go through the same process, from manual washing (eliminating coarse impurities), through processing in an ultrasound bath, washing in the instrument washing machine and packing into sterile, hermetically sealed bags (on which the dates and numbers of sterilisations are recorded), to packing into autoclaves and/or instrument sterilisation devices. These sterile and packed instruments are stored in the “clean” part of the sterile block, waiting to be used.
